Michael B.
Private tutor in San Luis Obispo, CA
Education
Sophomore Mathematics major, Physics minor attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Experience
Experience: I was an after school math and science tutor for my high school. I also participated in the Teacher Aprentice Project run through Cal Poly (Essentially I was a math tutor at Laguna Middle School). Test Scores: Calculus AB-5, Calculus BC-5, SAT Math II subject score-790. I have completed all courses through calculus and have begun upper division. I plan to become a high school math teacher and am looking for opportunities to help teach other students so that I can further develop what it takes to successfully communicate ideas/concepts and to work with different students who have different abilities, understandings, and styles. I am patient with those I help and am good at presenting concepts in more than one way. Also, I strive to talk students through problems rather than just show them the right way to do something. Ultimately, I aim to instill a confidence of the subject matter.

Hobbies
I am very easy going and active. I mostly run and bike, but I enjoy most sports (even if I am not very good). In high school I ran cross country and track, and I was team captain for over 5 seasons between the two sports. Probably one of my biggest interests would be cooking and baking. I always enjoy getting to try a new recipe and sharing the results with my friends.
